Golf

Regular golf tournaments and golfing holidays, the golf societies are at the heart of the Rhodrons Club.

The club plays hosts too many golf societies and younger Members may wonder about the history of the “Torn jacket” which you will see displayed in the main bar. The Torn jacket was inaugurated in 1993 and resulted from a shuffle between the then Chairman and a member over who had hailed a taxi. In the ensuing melee the Chairman’s beloved jacket was torn and this inexplicably gave rise to an annual golf tournament, obviously!

The Rhodrons Golf Society

This society is open to all Club members. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact the Club Captain, Seamus Curran.

The 'infamous' Torn Jacket Golf Society

This society has been running for over 15 years and members travel on a golf tour to Ireland every other year.
